The Department of Campus Involvement Front Desk serves as the hub of the department, and a central place for students, 学生组织, and student organization Advisers, to come for a wide variety of resources and information.

Our most common support services include: 

  • Purchasing paperwork and contracts for events
  • Assistance with event planning and risk management
  • Guidance with starting a new student organization
  • Promotional ideas for events, including large screen TV, email and social media
  • Answer student organization policy and procedure questions
  • Provide general campus information
Student Organization Support

邮件: Student organizations mail can be picked up at the DCI front desk. An email will be sent to the organization president and adviser when mail is received. 

预算: Student Organization officers contact the DCI front desk to get current budget information such as account balances, 交易, 和报告. This information can be provided to presidents, 副总统, treasurers and advisers indicated on the organization’s HuskiesConnect Profile. 

储存: The Department of Campus Involvement offer storage space to registered 学生组织 and are assigned based on usage, 需要和维护. Priority will be given to those organizations who currently occupy the space. 

If a student organization needs a storage area unlocked in Atwood, or has forgot the combination to their locker,  An officer or adviser can come to the Campus Involvement Front Desk during office hours for assistance. 总统, 副总统, treasurers and advisers indicated on the organization’s HuskiesConnect profile are able to receive this information or be let into their organization’s storage space. Photo Identification will be checked. Go to the Atwood Information Desk and ask for the building manager to assist you after hours.

按钮,制造商: A button-making machine is available to registered 学生组织, free of charge. Parts to make 50 buttons are available free of charge per year to each organization. Contact our office to reserve.

供应: Various colors of roll paper is available in the 学生组织 Work Room located on the lower level of Atwood Memorial Center. This work room is available for all 学生组织, no reservation necessary. Other supplies (scissors, stapler, markers, etc.) are available for check-out at the Campus Involvement front desk.

对讲机: Nine walkie talkies and ear pieces are available for 学生组织 to use at campus events. Contact our office to reserve. 

其他可出租项目: We have various sizes and shapes of glassware, water heaters, movie screens, etc. to be used for decorations at events and activities. 你可以看到所有这些 物品在这里. Contact our office to reserve.

Sandwich Boards/A-Frames: Sandwich boards/A-frames are available for events. 预订一个, send an email with the start and end date(s) and time(s) needed, and the name of the student organization to campusinvolvement@xjiu.net. Sandwich boards/A Frames are not allowed to be used outside during winter months due to snow plowing concerns.

Graduate Assistantships

Graduate assistant positions are posted here when available. Postings typically occur in early spring (March) if we have openings for the upcoming year.

All Department of Campus Involvement Graduate Assistantships have been filled for 2023-24.

Office Assistants provide service and leadership at the front desk andworks with all six department areas, assisting with projects, providing customer service and front-line support to a diverse group of students, 教师, staff and community members.
